LOWERING YOUR GUARD FOR GROWTH

This week’s message for The Shadow Supporter community is the 7 of Wands and The Fool. Both cards may be slightly tinged with caution, but when paired together there is a grander message of growth and beauty encompassing their energies.
If you’ve recently found yourself playing defense amongst coworkers, friends, or family, you may be surrounded by 7 of Wands energy. Feeling the need to protect what is yours – whether it’s something physical, like property; something mental, such as a longstanding belief; or something liminal, like a relationship – this energy has you trying to maintain higher ground which can be exhausting. Taking a moment to reflect on what that truly means is key. Many times, the people and circumstances challenging us are there to help us learn and grow, and they can even help us begin to recognize flaws in our methods we may not initially be aware of. 7 of Wands can be a lesson in adaptivity and fluidity. Be willing to look in the mirror during this time and ask yourself: Is what I continue to fight for truly worth the energy? The answer may surprise you.
The Fool card paired with this energy reinforces that new beginnings and stalled journeys meant for our greater good can also begin to flourish alongside periods of struggle and examination. If defensive energy has been oppressing you, taking the time to reflect on your next move can pave the way for a new path, often leading to discoveries more beautiful than what you could have imagined. The Fool encourages us to be brave, let go of what we thought we once knew, and step forward boldly into the unknown – all while trusting that we are born with all we will ever need to be whole. Trust the universe, trust the process, and trust yourself.
